Christos Verikoukis

Christos Verikoukis has been a Professor at the University of Patras (Department of Computer Engineering & Informatics) and a Collaborative Faculty member with the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI) in Patras since 2022, working on research topics related to AI-aided 6G networks. His research has been published in over 165 journals and over 240 conference papers. He has also co-authored five published books and filled five granted patents. His research has been supported by several European, Spanish and Greek grants with a cumulative value of more than 20M€. He has coordinated 15 EC-funded projects and around ten projects funded by Spanish and Greek authorities. Currently, he coordinates the SNS-JU flagship project SUNRISE-6G, which aims to provide the first pan-European 6G testbed. He has served as an advisor in several ICT companies. At the same time, he maintains close collaborations with research teams from top-tier universities and research centres as well as prominent industrial vendors such as Ericsson, National Instruments, Airbus, NEC, Intracom, SIEMENS, Infineon, and telecom operators such as OTE/COSMOTE, ORANGE, Telenor and Telefonica. He is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Networking Letters and a member of the IEEE ComSoc GITC.
